We are thrilled to announce the launch of our JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE) program! This international competition has been created from the ground up to encourage, honor and celebrate exceptional young entrepreneurs and the role of innovation in their entrepreneurial climb to global success.
For this program we are looking for young, open-minded entrepreneurs with an innate drive to push forward and rise above everyday obstacles, especially in the wake of COVID-19 and in line with JCI’s global initiative, RISE.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to pitch their business ideas to delegated experts. Your business can be in the startup phase, concept development or already in business for under 18 months! A strong business plan, presentation and ability to speak about your business goals in an articulate and numerate manner are a must, as is a global mindset. Now is the time to showcase your talents and take the next step on your entrepreneurial journey!
In 2021, during the pilot period of CYE, participants must be active JCI members and between the ages of 18-40. The program will only be accepting applications in English during its first year, though we will add all of JCI’s communication languages in the future.
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of judges, and selected applicants will compete during each Area Conference. CYE submission deadlines for each area are listed below.
- America Conference: March 1 – April 5, 2021
- Africa & the Middle East Conference: March 13 – April 19, 2021
- Asia-Pacific Conference: March 29 – May 3, 2021
- European Conference: April 4 – May 10, 2021
The JCI CYE winners from each Area Conference as well as the top 2 runners-up will be invited to the JCI World Congress to compete in the finals.
All nominations must be submitted online, so make sure to complete your application for CYE today and show off those entrepreneurial skills and visionary efforts! The online application may be accessed after paying a $50 USD submission fee, which can be done on the JCI Store. Once the fee is paid, access to the application will be granted. For more information on the program, view the CYE toolkit on the JCI library or our Trello board.
