The much-anticipated 2021 JCI Asia and the Pacific Conference will be ceremoniously opening on 19 August and will continue on into the 22, closing out JCI’s Area Conference season and paving the way for the 2021 JCI World Congress in Johannesburg. As an online event, no matter where you are in the world this conference will be highly accessible for all enterprising young leaders. Like all the Area Conferences this year, we can guarantee that members will be able to participate in JCI classics such as JCI Public Speaking and JCI Debating and also indulge in a variety of brand new Conference Organizing Committee programs. Content for the conference will also be available on the JCI Virtual Community for 60 days following the event, so conference attendees can maximize those development opportunities.
It’s no secret that with the hundreds of hours and expertise the Conference Organizing Committee has put into this Conference that this will be an event well worth your time. And now for an appetizing sneak peek, let’s dig a little deeper into some tantalizing conference details!
A Structured Daily Theme for each Conference Day
Every day of the Conference will be structured around its own special theme:
Day 1: Raise – This theme reminds participants of how we support each other as rising JCI leaders. No matter the difficulties, JCI members are always working to take their innovative ideas to the next level.
Day 2: Imagine – Here participants will stretch their brainstorming skills and envision the better versions of themselves. Before leaders can make changes, first they must create them within their own minds. With this theme, attendees can focus on what the future tangibly holds through exercises in mental innovation.
Day 3: Salute – This is the day attendees will witness courage and excellence on display at all three of our high energy competitions: JCI Debate, JCI Public Speaking and the Creative Young Entrepreneur competition. Attendees can also greet each other, or salute, at two business networking sessions!
Day 4: Excite – This final day will be full of unbridled energy. With several special programs, JCI training opportunities and the Conference Assembly, members can be reinvigorated with a passion and zest for what JCI and themselves are capable of.
Virtual Grand Slam Award Conference
In an effort to recognize the JCI members most dedicated to participating in our events and honing their leadership skills to the max, this year we will once again be offering the prized Grand Slam Award! This “Virtual Grand Slam” award will be given to JCI members who have attend all four online Area Conferences this year, and will be honored with perks such as:
- A Virtual Grand Slam Certificate presented at the 2021 JCI World Congress
- All Virtual Grand Slammers will be entered into a drawing for a free registration to the 2022 World Congress
- In addition to the virtual certificate, Grand Slammers this year will receive an exclusive Video Conference background, which will let them proudly display their dedication to JCI
So if you’ve already attended the past three conferences, you don’t want to miss out on this one either so close to the finish line!
Travel Across the World from the comfort of your home with “National Nights”
Even though this 2021 conference will be hosted in Taichung, Taiwan, the Conference Organizing Committee acknowledges that Asia and the Pacific holds many other unique and beautiful cultures. To celebrate some of these other nations, participants can attend five different National Night events: The Phillipines on Day One, Indonesia and Malaysia on Day Two or Japan and Hong Kong on Day Three. This is the perfect event to celebrate, mingle and connect with fellow members across the globe.
Invaluable Training, Incredible Results: The Creative Young Entrepreneur program (CYE)
This international competition has been created from the ground up to encourage, honor and celebrate exceptional young entrepreneurs and the role of innovation in their entrepreneurial climb to global success.
We are also happy to announce that this Global Creative Young Entrepreneur of the Year will win at the JCI World Congress a Global Grand Prize of $10,000 USD, thanks to the generous support of 2021 JCI Vice President Pheng Kouch, a key donor who has pledged this amount for the next three years. He will therefore be donating a total of $30,000 USD in prize money over 2021, 2022 and 2023 in order to ensure the sustainability of CYE as a global JCI project, providing long-term support to the spirit of entrepreneurship and the JCI RISE initiative.
The top three contestants will get the opportunity to pitch at the global CYE finals at the 2021 JCI World Congress in November and possibly win the $10.000 USD first prize! Combined with the valuable training and mentorship all CYE contestants receive, this program delivers outstanding return on investment for an aspiring entrepreneur.
One-of-a-Kind Conference Organizing Committee (COC) Content
With all sorts of JCI training, keynote speakers and JCI workshops, no matter where you turn there will be a COC event that sparks your interest. The COC has cultivated a vast schedule fit for any growing, modern entrepreneur. The conference is full of unique and thoughtful topics such as the “JCI Worship: Act 4 Gender Gap 2021: Key to Post-Pandemic Economic Recovery.”
As final details are determined in the next couple of weeks, we can guarantee to publish updates on the programs soon.
